This is the film that Castle admirers point to as the one that comes closest to true greatness, even with the director's late career mark on campy horror, of which your beloved "The Tingler" and "House on Haunted Hill" are most celebrated. I saw the film at the William Castle Festival in the fall, and was pleased with the print, although part of the credits were missed (as announced before-hand). You present some excellent framing here, and I'm delighted you have strong regard for Castle, who, while not in the pantheon of great directors, is at least better than some give him credit for. The Warner Archives DVD is fine (they also released his later "Macabre") and I though Castle did a great job especially with that expressionistic sequence on the fun house ride.
