Yeah, top 5 Hammer... that would have to wait for a while, until I'm able to see all of them, specially the Frankenstein cycle, that I've heard is quite good, Peter Cushing's reason.Jaime Grijalbahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00175192502767519362noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6732446115262591127.post-24245579014974791662012-07-28T14:18:42.155-07:002012-07-28T14:18:42.155-07:00Yep, properly and enthusiastically framed Jaimie! ...Yep, properly and enthusiastically framed Jaimie! This is one of the best Hammer offerings, and one that uses color to arresting effect. What is truly striking about this film is the superb script by the writing team of Peter Bryan, Edward Percy, the legendary Jimmy Sangster, and an uncredited Anthony Hinds. There's an Oedipal context, and the Gothic atmosphere, arresting set pieces and one of Peter Cushing's finest performances. Definitely in the top 5 Hammers.Sam Julianonoreply@blogger.com
